What Can I Control With a Fire Stick Remote?
Most Fire Stick remotes can control the volume bar and home button, but depending on which Fire Stick model you have, you may also be able to switch between apps, search for things, fast forward, rewind, pause, play, and launch Alexa.
The first step to controlling a projector with a Fire Stick remote is finding the projector’s HDMI port. If your unit doesn’t have an HDMI port, don’t worry! You can use a compatible adapter (like a USB-C to HDMI or VGA to HDMI adapter).
Once you’ve plugged the Fire Stick into the HDMI port or adapter, connect the USB cable to a power source. You can either plug it directly into a power outlet or use one of your projector’s USB ports.
If you want to use your Fire Stick remote to control your TV, you can! Just make sure the Fire Stick is plugged into the HDMI port using an HDMI extender. Keep track of which HDMI port you used so you can select the right input source on your TV.
Once everything is plugged in, use your TV remote to change the input source to the correct port. Now you can sync your Fire Stick remote by pointing it at the TV and pressing the home button (marked with a house icon) for 10 seconds. Once it’s paired, you’ll see a message on-screen or the remote will flash.
